Since my agricultural training and studies I have been interested in the details of cultivating soya, chickpeas, lupins, etc. I believe that legumes must once again take a prominent place in our crop rotations. In my experience, one of the keys to success lies in the love for the details of cultivation.
From 2011 to 2017, I oversaw the organic soya contract farming for Taifun-Tofu GmbH, where I was involved in everything related to the cultivation and seed multiplication of the soya bean. I have also created various videos and publications about soya beans.
Since 2016, I have been particularly engaged with the cultivation and seed production of edamame soya beans. When it comes to edamame soya bean varieties, which are generally very large-seeded, the seed quality is even more important for successful cultivation than with dry soya. With the careful multiplication of good varieties here in the Upper-Rhine region, I would like to help edamame cultivation have a successful start in Europe. With practical cultivation information, I hope to make it easier for you to get started with cultivating your own edamame soya beans.
In 2017, I started my own business offering edamame seeds, inoculants and expert advice for soya and legume producers. In the beginning, the edamame was of the utmost importance, hence the name "Gartensoja".
